Dyslexia is a reading disability, which can make daily tasks that involves reading frustrating. This affects 10% of the population, meaning 800 million people in the world are affected by this.

Dyslexia affects everyone differently, meaning some may struggle with page colours and spacing of words whilst others have may have difficulties with the spacing of paragraphs and font size.

Therefore, Penguin will be the first publishing company to implement a new function on their website that enable customisable dyslexic books giving users the power to customise any feature of the book to benefit their own reading experience.
Because after all, dyslexics know themselves the best.

We broke down the brief and boiled it down to a Single Minded Proposition:
Make Books Engaging Again

We went to a library to do research.
We picked out multiple books to be inspired and found a book that we could barely read. We asked,
“Imagine if you had Dyslexia and tried to read this”

A black and white arrow pointing to the right, with a diagonal division separating the black and white sections.

This sparked the idea.
What if we made books for an audience who
never could engage with books before?
